1) मुझे कागज़ क़लम दे दो ज़रा हालात लिखने दो

छिपे हैं दिल में जो मेरे वो सब जज़्बात लिखने दो

2) ज़ुबां ख़ामोश थी कबसे तुम्हारे ज़ुल्म के आगे

बग़ावत हो चुकी है अब तो सच की बात लिखने दो

3) हंसी लब की लगे झूठी शिकन चेहरे की रोती है

बरसती है जो पलकों से वही बरसात लिखने दो

4) ढकी है घर की जो इज्ज़त गुलाबी रंग की चुनरी से

है भीतर टाट का पैबंद तो फिर औक़ात लिखने दो

5) लुटाईं दौलतें सारी असर करने को दुनिया पर

और अब जो मांगते हो तुम वही खै़रात लिखने दो 

6) बहुत चाहा भुलाना पर हुई लाचार मैं दिल से

इजाज़त दो मुझे फिर इश्क़ के नग़्मात लिखने दो 

7) मैं सूनी शाम के क़िस्से लिखूं कब तक भला जानां 

 कभी तो मंतशा को इक सुहानी रात लिखने दो

Let me borrow paper and pen, to write the tales within my heart's den.

Hidden emotions, let them flow, onto the paper, let them show.

Silence had veiled my tongue for long, in the face of your oppression's song.

Now rebellion's time has come, let truth's words freely throng.

Laughter on lips, but tears in eyes, the facade of smiles, the soul denies.

Let the rain from eyelids pour, the truth behind the mask's decor.

Honor draped in the pink veil's hue, yet bound within societal view.

Let me write the truth unbound, beyond the limitations found.

All riches looted, the world's stage played, now asking for charity, dismayed.

Let me pen the irony stark, of those who once left a world stark.

Tried hard to forget, from the heart's core, but helpless, love's encore.

Grant me permission, once more, to write the melodies of love's lore.

How long shall I write tales of lonely nights, yearning for a glimpse of delight?
